Why Nothing Fits

Why Nothing Fits

I’d been wearing women’s clothes in private for years. Trying things on, figuring out what worked, making every mistake going. Terrible fits. Bad style choices. Skirts that looked nothing like they did on the hanger. None of that mattered — it was just me, on my own, learning.

The problems started when I wanted to step outside in something I actually felt good in. Something that looked right. Because I already stand out — I’m 6’3”, I’m built, I’m visibly muscular. There’s no blending in. Whatever I wear has to work, or it really doesn’t.

That’s when I started looking hard at the problem. Suspender belts sliding off straight hips — that’s an issue for any man. Skirts that won’t sit where they should because there’s no curve to hold them. Bra bands riding up over a chest that’s a slab of pec, not a ribcage. Some of it I could solve with better choices. But most of it wasn’t about the clothes at all.

It’s the ratio. Women’s clothing is cut for a waist-to-hip ratio around 0.75. Mine was 0.91. You don’t fix that with a size up or a different brand.

So I started asking a different question. Not “what clothes fit this body?” but “what body makes these clothes fit?”

That’s what I’m doing. I’m not changing the wardrobe. I’m changing the shape.
